Review Requests (and more)

Whether you are an author or a publisher, we would love to hear from you!

We are always open to books for review, guest posts, interviews, book tours, and promo posts.

Our focus at Bending the Bookshelf is on authors and stories that bend gender and sexuality, express our unique identities, and celebrate our diverse lives and loves.

From mainstream and genre fiction to the kinky corners of fetish and erotic fiction, we share a passion for anything that bends, twists, or otherwise transcends the social constructs of gender and sexuality.

Transgender, transsexual, transvestite, crossdresser, genderqueer, drag queen, genderfluid, bi-gendered, two-spirit, intersex, sissy, eunuch, shemale, or futa? We are open to all positive explorations of gender exploration and expression, regardless of the labels used.

Forced bisexuality, BDSM, feminization, cuckolding, gender-swaps, mind control, pegging, role reversal, dollification, masking, chastity, cosplay, or polyamory? We are open to all positive explorations of sexual exploration and expression, regardless of the labels used.

All of our posts are cross-promoted on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Google+ while all of our reviews are cross-posted to Amazon and Goodreads.

If you have a book to share, celebrate, promote, or review, please let us know and we will be positively delighted to assist.

  1. Hi, I've recently written an erotic short with an intersex character and I'm wondering if there's a market for male characters with vaginas, as I love this theme and would like to write more. It'd be really helpful if you could mention it on your blog, it seems like the kind of stuff that would fit here. I can be found at

    1. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, hon - your comment got flagged for moderation. It's not a scenario we see too often, but I love the idea. I would be delighted to give your Cuntboy Classics a read/review.

      I love that title! Tee-hee! :)
